Terminals and Sets. Telco features and enable caller id on a per line basis for any ringing lines. Thank you very much for the update. I have done the programming however the ID Info.
Only shows on the sets after you answer the call, not as it rings in. Is this the way it is suppose to work? I need the info to show as line rings. Thank you for your help. Without doing any programming, the caller ID will always show up on any set that answers the call. I hope you know, caller ID comes between 1st and 2nd ring and will only pop on sets programmed to ring for that line.
The only programming is what is reflected below in the first message I sent you. No Account? Sign up. By signing in, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Already have an account? First off, will this work Second should the BCM pick up the new card auto and what do I need to remove after removing the DTI hardware to get the line to work. Well first of all you need to decide what bus you are going to be putting the new modules on.
Once you do that, there is documentation that tells you how to set the dip switches on the back of the modules to assure that they get onto the proper bus.
Then you need to find out what lines are assigned to that bus and assign them to either ring at a phone set or be answered by the auto attendant. Remember, only 8 lines per bus. Thanks for the reply, So to go backwards, the BCM with the caller ID trunk interface will work with a Brighthouse cable modem phone thing, in other words I got the right part? Also, where to you see what lines are assigned to what bus, or how do I assign the lines to the bus?
By the way, this is a box I donated to a non-profit mission, and I'm doing the install for free, so all help is appreciated. The station module is up and running, what should the dip switches be set for on the Call ID Trunk module?
In order to see what lines are assigned to what bus, you need to access programming on the BCM gui. Once you know which lines are assigned you can assign line appearances. Dip switch settings are not based on the type of module, they are based on the bus that the module is going on. You need to decide what bus the module is going to go onto and then you can set the dip switches.
Also, depending on the version of BCM, you need to decide if single or double density is going to be used. It is an older BCM running 2. I'm thinking bus 7 for the Trunk mdl and bus 2 for DSM Can you tell me where to find the lines assigned to bus info in the BCM gui? That sounds right for both modules. Find the bus you are using and open it up, then open up the offset you are using and that should give you the lines that are assigned to that bus and offset.
